History and daily life,
below, you will find the answers to some frequently asked questions.

A Chapellenie is a donation made to the Church to insure the subsistence of a priest who will say a daily mass and prayers for the soul of the donor. This donation can be a house, but also a salary in the form of income received from a vineyard or real estate. The mass would often be read in an outside chapel whereas the Chapellenie represents another kind of compensation for the chaplain who was often chosen from amongst one’s relatives.

Aurillac benefits from a continental mountain climate with a high number of sunny days, (ahead of Toulouse, Agen, or Biarritz), and a large variance between night and day temperatures. Aurillac is the only mountain town on the weather map (640 m) which explains why Aurillac is much talked about in comparison with cities and other weather stations in lower altitudes.

The entry is from Boulevard Hortes / Boulevard d’Aurinques and the pedestrian exit is just 50 m from the house. Click on the map to open the .pdf folder.
